Foil Stamping
This process uses heat and pressure to apply pigment or a thin layer of metallic foil to the material’s surface with a heated die. Foil stamping can also be combined with embossing to create a more striking three-dimensional image.
Blind Embossing
This process presses an image into the material, creating a three-dimensional design without the use of foil or pigment. Blind embossing creates a more subtle effect.
Laser Etching
This process uses a CO2 laser engraving machine. With laser etching, a computer-guided laser beam traces a pattern onto the surface material, exposing the inner layer and creating texture. Laser etching is recommended to engrave logos and art on acrylic, aluminum and wood materials.
Screen Printing
This technique forces ink onto a surface through a prepared screen of fine material to create a picture or pattern.
UV Printing
This process uses UV (Ultraviolet) inks instead of traditional inks. UV inks are cured with UV light. The process is quick, cost effective and applicable to most surfaces.
Sublimation
This printing process uses heat to transfer dye onto materials like aluminum or plastic. This process got its name because the dye transitions between the solid and gaseous states without going through a liquid stage.
